You must submit an Application for a Home Occupation Clearance if you use part of a dwelling unit or accessory building for an occupation which provides gain or support, for at least one of the permanent residents of such dwelling unit and which is clearly secondary and subordinate to the main use of the dwelling as a private residence. This Application is only required once unless there are significant changes made to the dwelling between renewals or in the event that you move and the occupation location changes completely.

Please read the Class Descriptions carefully and select which class applies to your business. Please be aware that By-law Enforcement will verify your parking spaces upon inspection. Please note that a "Visit" shall mean visits to the Business Premises that is a Home Occupation by clients, staff or other persons attending for business reasons.
Sketch
The sketch must depict the entire Dwelling floor plan (all levels) with the dimensions of the home, including the proposed area for the business and its measurements. The sketch must also show the current and proposed off-street parking associated with the Home Occupation, if applicable.
