Sidewalk Patio Encroachment Permit (ENG)

You will be required to apply for an encroachment permit only after your application, drawing and Certificate of Insurance has been approved by the Engineering Department. You are not permitted to commence any work in the Municipal Right of Way until a permit has been issued. 

Fee(s): $1150.00 (Application Fee of $150.00 plus an Encroachment Deposit of $1000.00). 

The Encroachment Deposit may be returned to the applicant after the completion of all work is inspected and accepted by the Municipality. The applicant is responsible for any damage caused to the Municipal Right of Way and must returned it to a pre-construction state.

Payment: Online payment is now available via credit card, a convenience fee will be applied to the total.

I understand that as the applicant, the owner and/or contractor must schedule inspections with the Municipality of Leamington. I further understand that a permit must be issued before any Construction and/or Work can be completed. Failure to obtain a Permit before beginning  Construction and/or Work may result in the loss of the Encroachment Deposit ($1000.00). Failure to return the Municipal Right of Way to its original pre-construction state may also result in the loss of the Encroachment Deposit.
